Thanks to our advanced technology and full spectrum lasers, we can perform laser tattoo removal for any colour tattoo on almost anyone, including those with darker skin tones, as long as you have suitable medical history.
It really depends on individual factors such as depth of ink, colour, age of tattoo etc. It can take up to 6 months to two years to fully remove a tattoo. Treatments are usually administered with gaps of 4 to 6 weeks between sessions. Usually clients need 6-8 treatments. If you have a new tattoo, you must wait a minimum of 3 months before commencing treatment. At your laser tattoo removal consultation, our Doctor or Cosmetoligist will be able to give you a better indication of how many sessions you may need and answer any other questions you have about laser tattoo removal.
It's not painful however it can be an uncomfortable experience. We offer numbing cream to help desensitise the area to be treated or for clients that wish a more aggressive anaesthetic we can inject Lidocaine into the dermis. Most clients opt for a topical numbing cream and don't usually find the treatments too bad.
All of our Clinicians have at least 10 years experience in Laser Tattoo Removal. Institute of Medical Physics prides itself on delivering superior results with our Laser Systems. With our Picorise Laser Tattoo Removal workstation typically patients don't report any undesired side effects. Our laser uses a pure photo acoustic mechanism to shatter ink particles hence very little to no heat is generated within the skin which usually is the main cause for side effects. With older technologies blistering, scarring & pigmentation is more common.
