BIO—MECHANISMS OF ACTION

How it works

Proteolytic Enzymes breakdown phlegm to fluidity bronchial secretions

It starts with Lenixina-P® - our Mucoadhesive Complex based on Proteolytic Enzymes, Polyphenols & Hyaluronic Acid

It works by creating an effective protective barrier at the level of the mucous membranes which, on the one hand, limits the contact of the oropharyngeal mucosa with irritating external agents and, on the other, facilitates its repair.

LENIXINA-P®, thanks to the presence of hyaluronic acid, allows to rehydrate the mucosa, giving relief and alleviating the typical symptoms related to the irritative and inflammatory states of the upper respiratory tract.

Proven to be effective in counteracting inflammation of the respiratory tract (expectorant, antitussive properties)

This activity, as in other mucilage-based phytocompounds, is performed with three main concomitant mechanisms: local anti-irritant, through neutralization mechanics of the irritating agent, adsorbent of toxic substances and regenerating the hydration state of the mucosal surface. At the same time,, the mucilage adsorbs the secretions neutralising the pathological degradation products.

MALLOW PHYTOCOMPOUND
Proteolytic Enzymes breakdown phlegm to fluidity bronchial secretions

Antispasmodic utilising its ability to desensitise the nerve endings at the level of the bronchial tree.

The drug is made up from flower heads, which contain various active ingredients: the most important functional ingredients include diterpenic acids (in particular grindelic acid), triterpene saponins and flavonoids.  Enhanced by resinous antibacterial properties, while due to the presence of saponins it also has a balsamic and expectorant action.

Predatory plant with scientifically specific enzymes, flavonoids and naphthoquinones.

Anti-inflammatory activity.  Traditionally, Drosera has been used for the treatment of diseases lower respiratory tract, such as bronchitis (which causes dry cough) and asthma; the German Commission E approved the use of Drosera for whooping cough and coughs caused by irritative stimuli.

This solution, inside the oral cavity, remains adhered to the mucosa and acts as a physical barrier against external agents.

The high percentage of polysaccharides, in addition to having filming properties, exerts an effective moisturizing and emollient action. Icelandic Lichen has also been approved by Commission E German for the treatment of inflammation of the oropharyngeal mucous membranes and related dry cough. caused by irritative stimuli.
